Infrastructure and Capital Investment in Scotland: Innovative ways to fund capital projects A one day conference, 3 November 2010 – Thistle
Hotel, Edinburgh |
|||
|
|
Keynote Address: John Swinney MSP Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth |
||
|
Decreased capital and public sector budgets will present
a major challenge to those charged with planning and delivering capital
projects. Some initiatives, like the Glasgow Airport Rail Link, will have to
be scrapped or postponed as each evolving business case is reviewed but to
maintain Scotland’s competitiveness and underpin the nation’s economic
recovery, infrastructure investment must continue. The emphasis – within
Local Government, in particular – will be to develop highly innovative and
bespoke funding solutions which drive optimum quality and value within
budgetary constraints. This one day conference is a must for anyone involved in
public sector procurement and finance in Scotland. It will outline a range of
different funding models, supported by case studies from across Scotland and
beyond, arming delegates with ideas on how their local, regional and national
capital projects can be funded and delivered to standard and within budget. Book before 31 July 2010 to qualify
for early bird discount For more information please contact Angus MacKay on 0131 556 1500 or
